What to expect on your hot air balloon ride
Join us before sunrise for a delightful cup of coffee as you watch the impressive eight-story balloon being inflated and prepared for flight. After a safety briefing, you’ll ascend just in time to witness the spectacular sunrise. The pilot will adjust the altitude to find the perfect wind for a gentle drift over the stunning landscape.
While game spotting is not guaranteed, most flights offer the chance to see giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, nyalas, impalas, bushbucks, waterbucks, duikers, and warthogs. Spotting rhinos, buffalo, elephants, and lions can be more challenging, but there’s always a good chance of seeing them!
After approximately an hour in the air, the pilot will select a suitable landing site where a retrieval crew will be ready to assist you. Passengers don’t need to be physically fit, but should be prepared to stand in the basket for the duration of the flight. Children are welcome, provided they are at least 1.2 meters (4 feet) tall to see over the basket’s rim.
